词汇辨析法记单词
无论结构上相似，还是意义上相近，都会对单词、短语的掌握构成干扰，辨析是帮助记忆和活用这类词汇的有效途径。
（一）常考单词辨辨看
a bit& a little
【辨一辨】 a little直接作定语， a bit需加 of再接名词。例如： a bit of[ a little] help
a bit of后有时接单数可数名词表示“有点(像)”。如： He is a bit of a poet. 他有点像诗人。
not a bit意为“一点也不”(= not at all)。
not a little意为“很”、“非常”(= very)。

accept& receive
receive指被动地“收到”或“接到”，而 accept则指主动地“接受”。
She received his present, but she didn’ t accept it. 她收到了他的礼物，但是没有接受。
表示“接见”、“接待”时，要用 receive，表录取时 accept。

ache& pain
ache经常与某些表示身体部位的词构成合成词，表示身体的某处疼痛(此时通常不用 pain)。【拓展】 headache(头痛) toothache(牙痛) stomachache(胃痛) earache(耳痛) backache(背痛)
用于引申义表示精神或感情上的痛苦时，通常用 pain。例如：
The death of his father gave him much pain. 他父亲的死使他很悲痛。
