辣妹重组亮相奥运闭幕式

Their performance at the London 2012 Olympics closing ceremony has been one of the most talked about gigs of the year. And the Spice Girls certainly didn&# 39; t disappoint as they took to the stage in front of an estimated one billion sport and music lovers worldwide.

Spice-tacular: The Spice Girls were performing as a quintet for what is thought to be the last time.

Storming on to the stage on top of five traditional black cabs which reflected their individual personalities, the fabulous five emerged to a rapturous applause as they performed their first smash hit single, Wannabe.

It wasn&# 39; t long before the girls - Victoria Beckham, Geri Halliwell, Mel B, Mel C and Emma Bunton - broke out into an energetic dance routine.

Even pouting Posh - wearing a stunning black strapless gown by Giles Deacon - managed to crack a smile as the group dashed about the stage to the sounds of Spice Up Your Life.

Meanwhile, Geri rocked a super-short red dress with Union Jack detailing, which she paired with a Halo& Co gold filigree tiara.

Emma stayed true to her Baby Spice roots in a hot pink mini-dress, while Mel C opted for a flowing white jumpsuit.

But it was Mel B who stole the show in her daring sequinned Zuhair Murad bodysuit, which showcased her curves in all their glory.

Mayor of London Boris Johnson was seen busting out a variety of exuberant dance moves as he rocked out to Spice Up Your Life.

Even Prime Minister David Cameron seemed to be getting into the spirit of things, and was enjoying a little jig about as he enjoyed the show from the VIP seats.

While the near-perfect performance certainly didn&# 39; t disappoint, Victoria Beckham appeared to almost suffer a mishap as she mounted her cab to leave the stage.

As she rose up on the roof of the vehicle, she tripped ever so slightly and had to steady herself on a supportive barrier.

It is believed the London 2012 Olympic Games closing ceremony will be the last time the Spice Girls perform together as a five.

The group burst on to the British pop scene some 16 years ago and enjoyed a meteoric rise to fame thanks to their debut track, Wannabe, which remains the most successful song ever performed by an all-female group.
