This Titanic doesnt sink

This year marks the 100 th anniversary(周年纪念) of the Titanic, the famous ship that hit an iceberg(冰山) a century ago. On April 8, a group of 1,309 people got on a ship called the Balmoral in Southampton, England, to take a voyage(航程) just like the Titanic’s.

Relatives(亲戚) of people who were on the Titanic, historians(历史学家), writers and other tourists were all on the Balmoral. They wanted to remember the unlucky ship and those who died on its first and last voyage.

The Titanic set sail for New York on April 10, 1912, from Southampton. It was the biggest ship in the world at that time. Late at night on April 14, it hit an iceberg. In the early morning hours of April 15, the Titanic sank(沉没). Of the 2,227 people on it, more than 1,500 died.
